1. Always Carry Your Water
As you run, all your muscles are being exercised thus it is very obvious that you will sweat furiously so to avoid dehydration always carry water with you. This will save you from collapsing because of dehydration. A young man, who join a marathon do not bring anything with him except that he is properly groomed. It is because he expects that he can finish the race before he felt thirty. But the expectation did not happen. He feels thirsty and collapse before finishing the race. This shows that even you are well built and young, you must drink water especially if you are into running. It is because your body needs to refuel the water that you loss while running. Water will replenish the water that you loss at the same time it will give you energy to go on with the race.
2. Wear Appropriate Attire
Your comfort is very important on the road. Being comfortable will not only makes your body at ease also, it will give you a positive energy in completing the distance that you enrolled with. Wear proper shoes. Putting a good quality shoes is one factor why you don’t experience leg cram. Marathoners choose quality shoes because they know that having good shoes will give them inertia and speed in running. Thus you must also choose one of them. Although you are not planning to compete or win the race you must secure your safety always. Wear jugging pants or shorts at the marathon. With this outfit you can easily sweat and move. Therefore you can freely run and finish the race. Wear also visor to protect your face from the heat of the sun.
3. Choose The Right Distance For You
If you feel that you cannot finish long distance running because of your condition do not force yourself. Joining a marathon without even trying the short distance race will force your muscles especially your legs. Hence you must try first the short one before stepping to the higher distance. This will show that you must practice yourself first so that you can have energy that can resist the heat and pressure. With the right distance you can finish it without any hassle. But if you want to run for a longer one, do it if you already feel that your body is ready.
